I have been "away with the fairies" for a couple of years, due to Covid, Brexit, moving house three times, and loads of other stuff that has been keeping me busy. Not least I have been very busy on Twitter, where I now have over 10.2k followers. A lot of what I tweet is political. Let's just say I was not overly keen on the UK Westminster Government led by #JohnsonTheLiar, who is soon to be replaced by a new Tory leader and Prime Minister, without any of we voters having any say in it. If you are a Conservative voter, my tweets are probably not for you!
I find it particularly distressing that trans women have currently become subject to a lot of abuse and unpleasantness from the right-wing of the Conservative Party and the mainstream media, particularly in papers like the Daily Mail, Sun and Express. They are egged on in this discrimination against trans people by a tiny minority of TERFs and so-called "celebrities" such as J.K. Rowling, Graham Linehan and a breakaway transphobic LGB group without the T. All very upsetting.
But let's not dwell on these matters. Much progress in general has been made by trans and non-binary people in recent years, and we are much more "present" and accepted in society and culture by folk who make up the vast majority of the population. So stuff the bigots.
